Strange things can happen in life.
First of all, It all started as a 3 member band called "spierrelaxans" which did some gigs in Belgium.
A bit later that name changed to The Klinik. These 3 members were Mark Burghgraeve, Ivo W. Dirkx Asinistra and me.
Mark & I played together in M.Bryo & D.M.T. before 1981. Ivo W. Dirkx Asinistra played with "Ze Sprürlz"
We did some gigs in and around Antwerp, places as TomTom Club, Lipstick, Pink Reptile's Fashion show, Cinderella's and others.
I went on solo to record some songs on compilation cassettes under the name The KLINIK.
Later we did a collaboration under the name "Absolute controlled clinical maniacs, compiled from 3 bands: "Absolute Body Control" with Dirk Ivens, "Maniacs" with Sandy Nys & "The Klinik". We did 3 gigs in Norway under this name in March 1985.
Afterwards we decided to release a record "Sabotage" under the name "The KLINIK", because most songs were already made before, even the "KLINIK BOX"
Later on Dirk Ivens and I chose to go further as a duo.
The songs were made mainly in the Lab on modular systems and recorded on reel- to-reel 4-track tape, without any overdubs.
Dirk recorded the vocals at home on his 4-track..
Later, after the Noise Unit, X10, D-Sign and Para collaborations, I continued solo with the German tour in 1993. The Klinik finished "Awake" & "Blanket of Fog" with Stefan Mertens an Tom Claes..
The KLINIK also made "Stitch" & "The Knife" with MarK Burghgraeve, Thorsten Stroht & Erwin Breughelmans.
"Sonic Surgery" & "Dark Surgery" was made with Nickanor, "Glutony" & "Greed" with Vidna Obmana.
There was a reunion with Dirk Ivens to make " Eat Your Heart Out" & the "Klinik Box".
Dirk did some tours without me due to my illness.
The Klinik made new material with original band member Mark Burghgraeve, we hope you like it .
Thoughts to the man with different names who let the dark side of the mind out on the most sacred place on earth, the King's chamber at Giza.
